Kansas City man sustained minor injuries after semi truck accident near US Highway 75

Kansas City, Missouri – A semi-truck driver from Kansas City had an accident on Monday morning in Coffey County that resulted in minor injuries.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that 54-year-old Danny Diaz was heading north on Interstate 35. Near the US Highway 75 junction, a tie rod failure caused Diaz to lose control of the semi. Consequently, the semi veered off the road, rolled over rocks, and came to a halt.

Diaz had his seatbelt on during the incident, which likely minimized his injuries. Despite suffering minor injuries, he was transported to Coffey County Hospital in Burlington for treatment. Fortunately, the incident did not involve any other vehicles or individuals.
