Local job seekers invited to interview for positions at Kansas City Convention Center later this month

Kansas City, Missouri – Kansas City is giving area job seekers a chance to get hired at an onsite recruiting fair on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The Kansas City Convention Center’s Grand Ballroom, at 16th and Wyandotte, will host the event from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The City of Kansas City’s talent acquisition team is putting on this recruiting fair to link people who live in Kansas City, Missouri, with managers from different City departments.

People from departments like Water Services, Public Works, Conventions, and Aviation will be there and ready to speak with prospects. Managers will hold interviews on site for a number of jobs, such as Bus Operator, Maintenance Worker, Public Health Specialist, and Engineering Technician. The City emphasizes that only people who live in Kansas City, Missouri can take part in interviews. Those who are interested can use the City’s online Parcel Viewer tool to prove their residency.

Job searchers are encouraged to apply ahead of time to make things go more smoothly. Interested individuals can look for opportunities on this link that are only for the hiring fair. Candidates who turn in their applications before the July 11 deadline will be able to skip the onsite application process and go straight to interviews on the day of the fair. This method is meant to make the process faster and help candidates make the most of their time with hiring managers.
