Arson investigation underway after fire engulfed Kansas City home

Kansas City, Missouri – A recent incident has caught the attention of local authorities as they delve into an investigation of an arson fire In Kansas City. This case has raised concerns within the community and prompted a response from first responders.

Arson Fire Under Investigation

In the early hours, just after midnight on Friday, the Kansas City Fire Department was sent to a residence located in the 5100 block of 23rd Street in response to a fire incident. Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins shared details of the incident, noting that upon arrival, firefighters were met with intense flames and smoke coming from the two-story house.

A thorough search of the premises revealed that the house was vacant at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

However, the investigation into the fire uncovered unsettling findings. According to Chief Hopkins, it was determined that the fire had been intentionally set.
