Kansas City International Airport adds daily nonstop flight to Los Angeles starting April 2026

Date:

Kansas City, Missouri—Kansas City International Airport is getting a new daily flight that will connect the city directly to Los Angeles.

Starting on April 6, 2026, United Airlines will offer nonstop flights between Kansas City International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. This will give travelers in the area another important coastline connection.

The new route gives people in Kansas City easy access to one of the biggest cities in the country and one of the most popular places to visit. Los Angeles is a big business, entertainment, and tourist hub. The nonstop option is appealing to both leisure and business travelers who want a more convenient way to travel.

The new service also makes it easier for people in Kansas City to go to other countries. Los Angeles International Airport is one of the biggest international airports in the world. It has many flights to places in Asia and the Pacific. The new route makes it easier for people in Kansas City to go to overseas flights without having to make any extra stops in the US.

City aviation officials said that the new service is part of a larger plan to make more travel options available at MCI. Melissa Cooper, the Director of Aviation, said that the Kansas City Aviation Department continues to collaborate with airline partners to find ways to better serve passengers.

“The Kansas City Aviation Department is always looking to grow the options for travelers out of MCI, whether that be working with new airlines or existing partners,” said Melissa Cooper, Director of Aviation.

“United adding this route serves as a great example of working with current airlines to see what routes can be better served to and from Kansas City.”

This route’s opening is also an important milestone for United Airlines’ network in Kansas City. Kansas City will now have nonstop flights to all seven of United’s U.S. hub airports, thanks to the new daily flight to Los Angeles. This connects MCI to United’s domestic hubs and makes the airport further a part of the airline’s national network.

United Airlines will operate this route every day, giving travelers the same schedule options every day of the week. You can find out about fares, flight timings, and how to book on United’s official website.

The new nonstop service is another step in the ongoing growth of Kansas City International Airport. It gives residents and visitors more options, better access to important markets, and better links to holiday destinations across the world.
