Kansas City, Missouri – KCMO police say a major enforcement push with federal and local partners has led to hundreds of arrests, the clearing of hundreds of warrants and the removal of guns and illegal drugs from the streets.
The Kansas City Missouri Police Department said the results came through Operation Red Card, a coordinated law enforcement effort that unfolded over the past two months and culminated with an announcement on Thursday.
According to KCPD, the operation focused on felons and violent offenders and brought together multiple agencies working toward the same public safety goal.
By the end of the effort, authorities reported 307 arrests. Law enforcement agencies also cleared 442 warrants and helped bring federal charges against 170 defendants. Police said 247 firearms were recovered during the operation.

The department also said officers and partner agencies seized large quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and other illegal narcotics. KCPD said those seizures helped remove dangerous drugs from Kansas City neighborhoods and cut off substances linked to violence, overdoses and criminal activity.

The operation was described by the department as a broad, carefully organized effort that depended on close coordination between Kansas City police, federal agencies and other local law enforcement partners. KCPD said the results show what can happen when agencies share resources, intelligence and manpower across jurisdictions.
“This work reflects the great commitment and dedication within KCPD while highlighting the value of working with our law enforcement partners,” the department said.
“Operation Red Card required precise coordination with numerous agencies, and these results are a testament to unity in the name of public safety. Our work continues.”

The announcement places KCPD at the center of a larger regional crackdown aimed at violent crime, outstanding warrants, illegal weapons and narcotics trafficking. While the numbers show the scope of the arrests and seizures, police framed the operation as part of a continuing effort rather than a finished campaign.
KCPD said the work is not over, signaling that officers and partner agencies will continue targeting people wanted on warrants, offenders connected to violence and illegal firearms moving through the community.
