Gov. Hochul now finally feels the real migrant crisis on her own skin

Date:

As Texas struggles to keep the U.S. border with Mexico safe and prevent the influx of migrants, Democrat-led states strictly follow the White House policy regarding the border safety. Most of the Republican-led states including Florida, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Virginia decided to help Texas in securing the border with sending state troops.

Texas border crisis is escalating

In past months, Texas has been sending buses full of illegal immigrants to Democrat-led states and cities. New York, Illinois, Colorado, California are some of the states that were forced to house these migrants, but the major cities in these states are already feeling the problems caused by the influx of these people. Recent report finds out that these operations cost Texas more than $124 million so far. But the consequences are much bigger overall and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has felt this on her own skin now.

Last weekend, a group of migrants attacked law enforcement employees in NYC and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) has called for the deportation of these migrants. On Thursday, Hochul said the attackers should be deported after assaulting police officers Saturday. A video of the attack was posted to X, formerly Twitter, by the police department.

“Get them all and send them back,” Hochul said in a clip aired on CNN “This Morning.” “You don’t touch our police officers. You don’t touch anybody.”

A spokesperson from the NYPD told The Hill last Friday that all seven people involved are migrants. The footage shows cops trying to catch someone wearing a yellow shirt or jacket. After a struggle, the person and the officers fell to the ground. Then, a group of men jumped in, kicking and hitting the officers.

NY Gov. Hochul wants group of illegal migrants who attacked police officers last weekend immediately deported from the U.S.

By Saturday, the police had arrested four men, charging them with gang assault, obstructing government work, and attacking a police officer. Another man was charged with attempted assault on Monday. These five men were let go without bail.

On Friday, two additional suspects were caught, making a total of seven arrests. The NYPD confirmed this to The Hill on Friday. It’s unclear if these two were also released without bail. Hochul mentioned on Wednesday that it might be a good idea to consider deporting the attackers.

“I think that’s actually something that should be looked at. I mean, if someone commits a crime against a police officer in the state of New York, and they’re not here legally, definitely worth checking into,” Hochul said.

The police officers involved only had minor injuries and got help right after the incident. One officer got a cut on his nose.

Democrats seek help for lots of migrants arriving on their ground

Hochul, a Democrat, and leaders from other blue states have seen a lot of migrants arriving. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has sent many migrants to states and cities led by Democrats, arguing that the U.S. needs to enforce its borders more strictly. The number of people encountered at the southern U.S. border hit a record high in December, with over 300,000 in a single month.

Leaders from these states and cities have sought help from President Biden and the national government. Biden has said he would work to “shut down” the border following the Senate’s passage of a new bipartisan bill that’s been in discussion for a while.

  1. It’s all for show. While Democrats dismantle the US culture there are a some that continue to deny that any wrongdoing is going on. The democrats have many loyalists in the US that are not afraid of socialism or communism or don’t fully understand its ramifications on a national or global level. Democrats also have the support of Europe, China and Ukraine pushing to empower the gravy train that is the democrat administration. Democrats are the enemy.

  2. I’m sorry that there own countries can’t take care of there people, and the gangs run the countries that they come from, but how do we take care of so many people. We have citizens who are homeless and need help. Kids going hungry. I say you have to take care of what we have before helping thousands from other places. There governments need to take care of the gangs and militia. Stop there own violence and not send the violence here. 😤
