Fatal shooting during attempted car theft in Kansas City on Saturday results in three arrests

Kansas City, Missouri – Three suspects are in custody following an attempted car theft that resulted in one person’s death near a Kansas City, Missouri apartment complex. According to the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, at around 3:30 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the 3400 block of Wyoming Street, close to the Woodbridge Apartments, in response to a shooting report.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a person with an apparent gunshot wound. Despite efforts to provide aid, the individual was declared dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that a fight had erupted among several people, leading to multiple shots being fired, one of which fatally struck the victim. Three suspects were apprehended.
